PS Downgrade from 3.50 and above

If this is real then it's an outstanding achievement. :)

Not quite as good as a Jailbreak for FW 3.50 though. :)

sh*t i upgraded to 3.50 to resist temptation but tbh since i did it ive been hoping for a new hack. all the same i hope its real.

I Just found this Video apparently it can be used to downgrade one time only which seems a bit weird.

Please note: PS Downgrade is ONLY compatible with original PS Jailbreak, no clones or inferior USB dongles.

So how much are they gonna rip us of for this. The original PS Jailbreak was over $100.

Apparently its $40 for the new jig, and it can only be used once. Seems a bit pointless to me.

If it's real then expect it to hacked and released open source.

Don't everyone be running out and paying silly money again.

They say we can roll back to 3.12 and re-enable the OtherOS feature. I bet the guy who's spent months working on a getting Linux to run on 3.41 is pretty pissed off right now. :)

What's with the single use thingy, that's silly.

It is clearly a deliberate limitation to stop you lending it to all your friends.

i really hope this is true too the people that make the clones etc wont struggle getting round that i would think but i cant see it being like that tbh otherwise im sure they would state if you downgrade once then accidental upgrade you can allways buy another.

Seemingly, they send you a piece of software to run and it takes your PS3 serial number etc, you post this back to them and they then send you the working Hex which will only work on your machine and your JB device.

The psjailbreak team are terrible. They wanted crazy money for their initial dongle and they want crazy money for updates or downgrades.

All the while other's work for free or offer much much cheaper solutions.

Yeah but the update is only compatiable with the original dongles mate, and will not work on cheap clones. lmfao.

Will be reversed and released within 48hrs or release on monday.

we all know that once a few of these are out and about the thing will be ripped to shreads and the open source will be about

don't worry guys only thing we gonna have to do is just wait cos if others can get a hand on the orignal PSjailbreak and make a clone out of it than it won't take long for them to get a hand on this one and get a clone out of it too

looks like it could of been bol**cks the site is dead now

Edit:scratch that but for $125 it might aswell be

PS Jailbreak + PS Downgrade $125.00
PS Jailbreak $100.00
PS Downgrade (Requires a PS Jailbreak) $40.00

ps-downgrade

ships within 48hrs.

Its a complete joke, the pricing strategy is just wrong. We all know how much dongles cost, and these guys are trying to make 400% on each dongle. I hope Sony sues the ass of them.

Prices are extortionate but having said that I don't blame them, end of the day people are ripping their work to pieces and as far as I can see if it weren't for their success there'd be nothing to reverse engineer in the first place hence no hacked PS3, and they know pirates and hackers won't pay for feck all unless they've no alternative option - dare I say it they're not stupid, they know there'll be an initial influx no matter what they charge for it to be reverse engineered within days. At which point their sales take a sharp decline. They might only make a few hundred and that's it but end of the day you complain about it but somebody pays for it grudgingly and hacks it to pieces. Then you get it for significantly cheaper or free and everyone's happy.

Can't say I blame the guys for charging astronomical amounts of money. But I also can't blame the hackers hacking the hackers - and thank god for the hacking mentality by the way....
