usb broken

my son managed to break one of the usb ports on his 80GB ps - its the plastic bit in the middle

now I am not sure if this is covered via warranty - is it ?

the other usb port is used by another controller hence could do with getting this fixed.

i doubt that they would repair this under warranty. u could buy a usb hub, to give u a few extra ports, or just unpug the controller from your working port. they are wireless, so no need to have it plugged in, except when charging

hmmm... would this not be considered as accidental damage? also what kinda warranty is it? extended warranty may cover accidental damage, standard 12months wont i dont think.
