2000 Volvo s40 radio code

The dealership was willing to share the code but it didn't work so I'm forced to try and get the code from the serial numbers. They read V 08170 W1229151 B. Serial # 3533771-1. There's also a line of numbers reading 4980 9801. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

volvo have database, so if they have given you code and it doesn't work I would suspect radio has been recoded sometime in the past.
to get code a chip in the radio has to be read and decyphered
best bet is probably try a local radio decoding service
