Trump and Chinese goverment have been at each others throats over trade for awhile now. Is it very convenient to say Huawei is a spying tech company at these times?
Surely the biggest country in world that spies is USA goverment.
Seems now this trade war has become a dirty war.
First, 5G (Huawei firmware/software)
Second, Huawei phones.

Who would anyone want to buy a Huawei phone now after android wont be supporting them in the future. Taking into consideration they are the second biggest phone makers and based in china a blind man on a galloping horse can see whats going on here.

Info below:
Huawei's use of Android restricted by Google Google restricts Huawei's use of Android

I'm sure that the Trade War is a factor here...but I don't think it's as cut and dried as you make out.

China has previous when it comes to covert tech spying.

so has the UK

The only phone/computer tech chips that I can think of that are made in the UK are ARM processors, some of which I know had the Meltdown vulnerability, which I think is now sorted.

Could be that I've missed something though.

the uk was the one's who put spyware into webcams/laptops etc so they could use them to spy.

I was thinking more along the lines of hardware spying, Chinese style, rather than software. Spyware is a lot easier to eliminate.(once it's discovered of course).
