Linux satellite receivers that support wideband LNBs from Sky Q?

I was wondering if there are any Linux dvb-s2 or dvb-s2x receivers that work with the wideband lnbs that sky use for sky q or whether the only option is to use a hybrid lnb which work with freesat and sky q? If there are no such receivers available does anyone know if any are in development?

@digi247 would know for sure mate i dont think there is and the Hybrid LNB is the way to go to run existing e2 boxes as well as skyQ

I don't believe so. There is no coding (yet) to limit the tuner to one polarisation. The other option is to use a unicable 2/jess2 switch that is Sky Q compatible.

Note:
Please do not fall into the pitfall of associating Unicable with FBC tuners. They are two different technologies. Even a DM500 will run off a unicable LNB.

As Above the SkyQ Wide band LNB has just 2 outputs one Horizontal full wide band frequency and one Vertical full Wide band frequency.

Wide Band Frequency uses the 230 - 2359mhz frequency band.

There are currently no Linux receiver's or for that matter P&P tuners that can work with SkyQ

Its a proprietary owned system used only by Sky i doubt you will ever see a 3rd party receiver supporting it

Another way around it is to use a switch (unicable or otherwise) that accepts wideband LNBs.

Cheaper to use unicable if other receivers support it. Many do (including DM500)

It would be nice if someone took some photos of the motherboard so we could see what tuner chip(s) they are using to see whether we might see linux boxes released with such chip(s). It also supports Dolby Atmos audio, the dolby AC-4 website says that freesat has adopted AC-4 on their new box. There is no AC-4 software decoder in ffmpeg at the moment so we wouldn't be able to decode those audio tracks.
