Anyone know how to log/diagnose problems with a zgemma star H2?

Box came to me today, guy that owns it says he took a system update as the IPTV player was playing up freezing etc.
Says he updated IPTV player first then uninstalled and reinstalled it through the panel as the IPTV update didn’t solve the issue.
He then took a system update and when the box rebooted nothing worked.
I have now got the Channels working on V with his gift, but I cannot get the panel to work or download plugins.
IPTV player won’t work or download updates.
The box clearly has Internet and is connected, EPG seems to update fine.
Anyone advise how I can work out what is causing this?
I’ve tried quite a few other images but this is the only one I could get to work as it had Cam already installed. (Andy Mc OpenATV-6.1).
Tried images HD Freaks, Latest Open ATV nightly, OpenVix, OpenPli with all them images I cannot get the Panel to work to download plugins or the IPTV player, guessing if I manually installed a cam I would get the channels to work though.
I’ve also tried a full backup of my Lads box (everything works in his) panel IPTV nor system software update work when flashed to this one.
Also tried ftp the latest IPTV folder into plugins folder but it did not help either.

Have you run a network test ?

You saying your sons working backup does not allow downloads is kind of pointing to a network issue hardware maybe. If you put your sons box inplace of yours same cables etc does it allow downloads ?

I can ping and ftp to box, update EPG and receive his gift channels as stated above.
Just tried a network test all positive. Yes everything works on the Lads box connected in mines. I took a full backup and flashed to this one but again the panel IPTV or any app needing downloads don't work, no updates or anything. Strange one.

On trying to update the IPTV player It gives a message "Utility rtmpdump" is deprecated. Do you want to install a new one, I select yes and it just stays on the screen Downloading "rtmpdump" for 30 or so minutes. Will try to run some more updates and post the screenshots with errors returned.

What if you try download i simple plugin say a skin from the plugin menu green button ?

No, that's from trying to download a plugin 1st pic. The others from trying to update IPTV player.
I’m starting to think, are their some files on the box that wouldn’t be changed with a reflash (that the update changed) that apps, that don’t work, rely on? Links to update server or something like that. I have also just noticed that server list address is "http://iptvplayer.pl/download/update/serwerslist.json" <would that be right "serwerslist" should it not be "serverslist"? in picture 3

Why not manually update IPTVPlayer with the latest i uploaded today ?

If you then still need the rtmp dump i can upload that for manual install.

To me what the plugin is trying to install is not available to install at the server side of the connection.

I've manually just uploaded the latest but still need the rtmpdump
Tried a few including, From extensions > addstreamurl (2.0+git4).

It wont install either from the package installer on box or telnet, is their a command to override as IPTV player is still saying its deprecated and it doesn't work?

Its been the same now for just over half an hour.

Not sure what is going on. The packages file can be manually downloaded

Maybe you should flash an official image 6.2 image. Set it up yourself. People will help, provided you are systematic in your approach. Do the important things first instead of trying to "bling your receiver so that it looks like sky".

Select your box and download the latest nightly build.

note: 6.2 is beta at the moment

After you flash/install the image, you will need to install the softcam feed. You will then be able to install your softcam. ( Ignore that it says 6.0 Maybe a moderator can edit the thread title)

By "IPTV player", I understand this to mean SamSamSams's IPTV player plugin. If this is what is meant, install it from the Image's plugin server. You can then update within the plugin.

That was part of the problem with this box, plugin server wasn't downloading neither was the IPTV updates.

That is why you should flash another image.
