iPhone Move to samsung Y/N?

You have all convinced me as to the need to move on and I have move, thanks for all your input.

Managed to get a good deal on last years S7 Edge. Bit of a learning curve at the moment, especially with syncing calendars with the rest of the family as they are still on iphones. Loving the auto login feature with fingerprint and Last Pass made logging into to each of my apps easy.
 
That's the downside of having an Iphone -- too much restrictions. Even a simple thing you want to do, can't be done since the software won't allow you. For now I have both apple and samsung! Well there are perks in Iphone that you can't get with samsung and vice versa so why not have both! lol
 
First two weeks experience on my sammy s7 -

All good so far, mind I have changed the default SMS to Textra and also the dialer to google dialer as it appears to work with google contacts better. With calendars, contacts and email all being in sync with my Win 10 PC and Linux Mint Laptop.

Any other recommendations for alternative apps?

I cant recommend any alternative apps but if you didnt know, then there is a theme store , you can change the default theme so you can just personalise the phone a bit more. Alot of the themes are free, i use the carbon green theme.
Makes the phone look a lot better than the default.

To be honest ive played about with the galaxy S8 and there is nothing that really tempts me into upgrading from my S7 apart from a few hardware upgrades they both feel and look the same. Theres nothing new that excites me.
Its like iphones. I upgraded my mrs iphone 6 to the 7 at xmas...apart from a larger memory the phone is identical in looks and operating system. I just dont think its worth the extra money a month.

I agree mate, I dont upgrade yearly for this reason
I had the s5 before upgrading to s8 :)
 
Got my new phone well pleased, don't want to start a new thread but what what you guys with the samsung galaxy s7 edge recommend for protection front/back? I've been on ebay for hours and it's frazzled my napper, they vary in price that much it's hard to know which is better. :confused:

You put them on wet for a perfect fit, theres video tutorials how to fit them.

Mines gone on a treat and you wouldnt know its there.
