I just tried again a few minutes ago on (official) Solo2 openvix 5.025 using 2x sundtek dvb-c usb tuners.
If i dont enable Autostart, it works, as soon as I enable autostart in the sundtek plugin it crashes my solo2 and it wont boot, gets stuck on startup screen. Even using just 1, as soon as I enable Autostart, it wont boot until I remove the tuner/s.

Could you please send a screenshot of your sundtek plugin settings?

Here is how mine is set up and works fine, I will add my box is an original not a clone

I tried the same settings on both my original Solo2 but as soon as I save after enabling Autostart, the box wont boot, gets stuck forever in boot. Can't figure what is causing it to do that. Any idea what plugins/skins etc could cause a problem with the autostart command?

Have you got latest drivers installed open sundtek control panel and press menu then update driver if there is one

Yes, I tried a fresh install. I cant understand what is crashing the box as soon as i enable autostart. any ideas?

the isolators are also there to block line voltage. As the amps on the line in the street cabs are fed from the DSA they are powered over the coaxial link. I cant remember if its 36v or 48v.
thats the older barrel type ones. The newer box ones where isolators and splitter 2 ports were TV/broadband feed and FM radio signal

Sorry to jump in but it seemed the logical place to do so. Is this splitter the correct one to split incoming signal 3 ways or will it cause issues

Its correct mate and a make of Splitter VM use.

Be aware the with a 6.2db drop on each output youll need a very strong signal coming in and if it was me id use a powered splitter that looses no signal as discussed on this thread.

So whats the loss on Konig splitters.Apart from poor picture for me if not strong enough signal ,will virmin pick up the signal loss and know somethings amiss?

You can determine signal loss by looking at your hub power levels before and after splitting you feed if you had + power level figures you may get away with it if not picture tear up and loos of internet can happen.

Its not a kong you need its a Technetix HDU-400 (4 Way) these have no next to no loss when fitted keeping your levels similar to when the engineer left and as VM use them there will be no noise added to your line.

cant say for sure but ive not had an isolator in line for a year. i also have an edision mini, superhub 3 and a tivo box and 2 splitters and never had an issue
I'm confused

Should I leave the isolator in or not? i.e leave isolator and connect to splitter or remove isolator and just connect splitter to line?????

Does isolator cause signal loss?

The isolator is there to protect equipment if lightning hit the street cab.

No real loss id leave it inline.

I was under the impression that each break was about a 3db loss so wouldn't having the isolator inline create this loss as a splitter would then have to be attached?
