Hello Lads Can anyone please help. I bought these powerline adapters

AV1000 2-Port Gigabit Passthrough Powerline Starter Kit - TP-Link

As you will see , they have twin network ports, now i want to connect 2 devices (Fire TV and WD TV box) up to one adapter via 2 cat 6 cables then connect the other twin adapter to my router upstairs. If I conect 1 device works perfectly but as soon as I connect the 2nd device everything stops working and I have no internet connection at all as the BT HUB 6 loses connection to the net. Unplug one device, reboot Hub and internet connection back working and single connected device works OK. Any help and advice please?

I can't remember exactly the process as it's that long since I used it but you basically registrar each adaptor to your set up. plug both items into the homeplug then turn the socket on and make sure both are DHCP not static and check either item IP is not clashing on your network as this will kick it off the network.
or
give both a static and try that

@Napster I assume so, Out the box Plug and play, but Conected one to my router other to my fire tv. restart router and it works fine. All other devices on network either wired or wireless work fine. Plug 2nd cable into 2nd port then into router and everything goes tits up. Router loses internet connection . I need to disconnect the 2nd cable from the adapter and router then reboot router and all ok again.
Doing ma head in.

Normally they would be paired together automatically these days.

What are displayed for each port name on each of the two homeplugs?

Nothing displayed for the 2nd port and for the 1st port all that is displayed is Amazon Fire TV when i log into hub. Im thinking its not issuing a 2nd ip addy for the 2nd port and when I connect the 2nd devise it conflicts with port 1's ip addy

Try giving both fire stick and whatever else you use static IP address's

So you've gone into the firesticks network setup and gave it a static IP ?. I don't know how it can revert back once it's got a static

Sorry, I meant what does it state on the homeplugs for each of the ports? If anything?

You shouldn't need to give anything a static IP. I've not had to. I just leave it as DHCP to save the messing.

Having trying to read your post, I think you may have caused a routing loop.

I'm trying to understand how you're setting the homeplugs up with your devices? One homeplug has to be near the router so in this example, we'll call it the Router homeplug. Your other homeplug can generally be anywhere else in the house so in this example we'll call this other homeplug a Bedroom Homeplug.

ROUTER HOMEPLUG
You have to connect ethernet cable from your router to one port in the Router homeplug. The other port on the Router homeplug is used to provide internet connectivity to another device like your Firestick/DVD player, etc. If not needed for this purpose then leave empty.

BEDROOM HOMEPLUG
The two ports on this homeplug you would use to provide internet connectivity to upto 2 devices (again, Firestick/DVD player, or anything else).

This setup should work without an issue if using default DHCP settings within router and within each client (Firestick/DVD player, etc) device.

@ketmp Thank you. followed what you posted, still wouldnt work soon as I removed everything and started from stratch connected everything apart from the wdtv and everything worked.Got my sons TV box and plugged that in. everything worked as it should following your post So i reset the wdtv to factory settings and downloaded the latest firmware for it, then rebooted and set it up again on the homeplug and its all waorking. Thank you very much Pal. I'd have been here all fecking week with this. Cheers Pal
