DigitalWorldz have created new picons EXCLUSIVELY for our members.

With @Rat 's great bouquet list and updates, we now have picons to compliment your EPG/InfoBar.

I hope you like this 'snapblack' update. @Rat has been instrumental in the implementation of these picons, so a BIG THANKS goes out to Rat in this process.

These picons will obviously be promulgated throughout other sites with time, but you know where you got them first.... DigitalWorldz!!!

Enjoy,

snapman

When I first saw this post in was thinking what the feck are they doing, and even looking at Rats screen grabs and looking at them on the computer, I thought they was horrible, BUT after installing them on my Dreambox I have to say they look BLOODY GREAT on the screen of the TV they just stand out so much better excellent work @snapman and @Rat as always your picon and bouquet just make the image without your work it would be plain and boring :)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

I tried to match the black picon to the Dreambox EPG black background, so I'm glad it works OK. I need to thank @Rat again , as he's been a HUGE help in getting these made for the sat boxes. Glad you like them @Napster :)

I'm finding the opposite actually ,they are too similar to the background colour of black so they blend in and are hard to read (PLI HD Skin)

I will say they don't look as nice on the lcd front panel screen, but on the screen the colours match great.

@Napster
I didn't mean it to sound that way mate, my bad, reading back it does sound a bit off... wasn't intentional

I gotta be honest I think they look great, and even better in the OLED as its all black and the text stands out being white tbh

:)

Its a very short process for some

Can you provide the following picons,some are terrestrial. Dont worry about the service refernces
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

I would need a lamedb file from a pure area

It's a long process, as a few cable only picons require to be created from scratch. If this is a quick process, and I'm missing a trick here, be my guest and create the cable only picons @Abu Baniaz

The attachment I uploaded has roughly 30 missing TV picons for cable. All the others channels should be good for ex CW and Telepest areas.

I cannot do the graphics.
@Rat
Larizer's satellite plugin maintains the picons. It was then a cross-referncing exercise with symlinks

@Abu Baniaz If I have picked up the wrong tone of your post earlier... apologies. At the time it seemed to undermine the amount of hours we put in to create and name the picons for sat, and then I started to work on renaming for cable, and you posted it's not a hard job without explaining why.

Now you've explained a little (and @manic01 I know Abu Baniaz is one clever man!) , I'll take a look at the renaming you've done and see what picons need created for cable.

As we're a sharing community, could you explain to those that don't know what you mean by "cross-referencing exercise with symlinks"? This is really not my area of expertise (as creating the picons that's required is not yours) so I'm hoping that this will be a "two-way" street so to speak. An on-line community helping out each other.

Regards,

snapman

I did not mean to undermine the work you have done and continue to do. It is very much appreciated.

After the Picons are done, the hard work remains in maintaining the service references. As you may already be aware, Lraizer's plugin takes care of this aspect. However, not everyone uses is. An adapted script for Lraizer's plugin that will update the channels in lamedb but not intefere with the bouquets and also maintain the picons already been posted.
All that remains to be done is the new and modifed picons

You can actually customse the plugin so it makes bouquets more or less like Rat's but that is another topic.

Once the picons are in Lraizer's AutoPicon format, you can create symlinks to them too. Links in here but obviously older picons
