Rat's DW Picons 28.2E Updated has been updated!


With big thanks to snapman for making the new picons
To Coincide With Rat's Bouquets, Today's Changes, the picons are made to work with Rat's Bouquet. if you use another channel list and some picons do not show you will need to find and rename the picon for it to work with your chosen channel list other that Rat's Bouquet

Picons are small square (rectangle) graphics you see for a channel in certain parts of your menu system and/or if you have a front display on your receiver they can be seen on the receiver itself to identify which channel you are viewing , these picons make your Satellite Receiver act more like normal provider boxes when you visit a channel you will see an identification graphic which relates to each channel.

INSTALLATION:
FTP into your satellite receiver create a folder called picons (preferably on the USB or HD for space saving).

UPGRADE:
FTP into your satellite receiver find the folder with your picons installed, and overwrite them.

AUTOMATIC UPDATES:
You can do it manually like above or Rat has an Auto Picon Updater Plugin that will allow you to simply press a button and it will download the latest plugins automatically without any input from you.

not sure where the picons are, try this command in telnet:
find picons

If its only one or two you could just change the reference number to match the channel in autobouquets

The picons that Snapman and myself maintain and make are made to work with Rat's Bouquets/Channel list, when I update Rats Bouquet I also then update the picons to match so should always work together

if some picons don't work with other channel lists snapman and myself cannot help this, you will need to find the picon and rename it to work with your channel list

Is anyone having trouble with this update, I have just updated and a couple are just blank black screen on my box, they are more>movies and m>movies+1 there the only 2 that don't work for me.

It's odd the one's in your update work fine on PC but not box, and the one's i use are from the same sauce and they work, it's very odd.

are the references the same ? are you using them with Rat's Bouquets or another channel list ?

as I said earlier via PM, if you ftp into the box, instead of removing the contents remove the whole picon folder
reboot the box so no picons show

ftp the new picon set back and reboot again

all should be fine after that

Hi

Yes m8 I did what you said and it's still the same, and when i FTP them over from my laptop it's asks if I want to over right them so there are the same reference names, that's why it's strange the same picons from the same sauce but they don't work when downloaded via your plugin.

I did what you said I deleted the picon from memory stick rebooted the box and then downloaded your picon pack, they all worked apart from the two I posted about, I also lost the picon showing on OLED which I fixed, (more>movies and m>movies+1) don't work from you online pack on my box, which is trying to find out why, I can't think why they wouldn't work when they do on yours and other peoples, after I sent the 2 picon from my laptop which overwrite yours and now they both work.

Upload the working ones so we can compare to see what the difference is

OK well they are exactly the same, plus if I delete all my picons from the media/usb folder and then ftp Rat's latest ones over,restart enigma2, and the work fine m8

So not sure whats happening your end but Rats picons are fine and working
