hi guys i was reading something, but lost the site were you could get a dialing code and telephone number for your pc so people can ring you on that number and answer it were ever you are? also how does on transphere vhs to dvd??

first bit not sure about.

But transfer from vhs to dvd you could do by purchasing a dvdrw unit to attach to your vhs and tv then when you play set the dvdrw to record. You could also transfer to hard disk as you can get hold of pretty handy hard disk recorders these days.

To transfer VHS to DVD your better off with a DVD Recorder/VCR combi. You're looking around £200 on the high street.

On your PC, you'll need a video capture card and software and a DVD recorder but video capture cards can be unreliable.

the software you are looking for is skype. it gives free voice over ip calls from pc and if you add the optional skypein and skype out will let you dial landlines and mobiles as well as recieve calls from landlines and mobiles. there were only 4 area codes when I signed up 0207, 0161 and I can't remember the other 2. Ideal really if you have a mobile and no landline (or just want to set up a line in another area code:) The system recognizes caller id but doesn't send it when you dial out. Also equiped with free voicemail.
Not a bad system in all.

vhs to dvd? argos dvd recorder £99 (or tesco!!) press play on vcr and rev on dvdr. Presto!!!
