Rf Optical Mouse

Slight problem here guys, on web pages the mouse dont want to scroll with the wheel to pull down or up, but will scroll when using windows apps...iv had a look at the mouse setting in control panel and all seems ok..... also I reinstaled the mouse drivers just to make sure, but still wont scroll on web pages!

Tryed switching browsers from firefox to ie6, still wont work, any ideas?

have you tried uninstalling ie6, the mouse drivers, rebooting, install mouse drivers then ie6 / firefox?
i know this sounds weird but 9/10 times a little quirky bug like this is so simply fixed...

yes m8 tryed all that aswell, the bugger still wont work right.

Iv even plugged in another mouse to see if the fault lay with the optical mouse, still no joy on the web pages, weird this!!

update:

Got it to work on ie6 now, so I think its a Firefox issue.....ill have another look in the morning when im not so tired.

just a thought,
is the mouse usb or ps/2 ?

the usb ones can be funny sumtimes.

Sorted now guys, it wasn't the mouse it was the version of firefox i was with.I updated ie6 last night on the microsoft site then it worked fine, but not with firefox my default browser.....Updated to FF to 1.0.4 and im all sweet now, Cheers for the replys guys, most appreciated.
