Software service pack 1

if service pack 1 is installed correctly , where it says copyright 2009 etc , underneath that it will says service pack 1 , you could try reinstalling sp1 and see if that works

on the update page where all your upgrades are , at the top of the page it says click here to uninstall or change updates , if click on that , next page open with your updates , can uninstall from there if wish to , I never tried that when I had prob , alternitavely , have a look around net etc or Microsoft site for a windows version of your os ie windows 7 home premium or whatever and find a service pack 1 and download and install that , or see if when you click on check for updates if it brings in a version of sp1
