hi guys - got a toshiba satellite s50-b-15f 1080p laptop with windows 10 64 bit , 8gb ram, 256 gb ssd, when i start my laptop up from cold it seems to lag when loading web pages etc..sometimes it happens when im browsing the web or doing some downloading, the fan kicks in,,etc...see video, will put it up in a bit or a link to it.. wventually everything wiill be as normal...any ideas, its still under warranty, paid over £500 for a few months ago, anyway i can check if hardware failiure is imminent ?

Is it everything on the laptop that is laggy or just internet browsing? My browser is laggy straight after starting up but runs fine after a few minutes- the rest of the PC is fine though.
Have you tried running task manager to see if anything is gobbling up RAM, CPU etc?

first download and install and set up the following..
1)superantispyware free
2)malwarebytes free
3)advanced system care free..

run each one and see the difference.
first 2 will search and remove any type of malware and any tracking stuff etc
advanced system care will give laptop an MOT.

Try both IE and chrome or another browser see if there's any difference..
But defo scan with antispyware and malwarebytes.

Lol true sometimes virmin internet is like dial up..at weekends and peak times..havtnt yet tried anything busy, probably in the evening or tommorow..will reply back

After running malwarebytes my computer found a lot of mild threats but one high risk threat. I was constantly getting adverts and believe it or not it was after I clicked on DigitalWorldz. Twice this has happened and it takes over your whole browsing experience. Could you please look into this problem as it is becoming quite regular now. Thanks

First I have heard.

Surely we would have an outcry if there was a virus or malware taking over our pc's

Report for digitalworldz.co.uk | Norton Safe Web

And

http://scanurl.net/?u=www.digitalworldz.co.uk&uesb=Check+This+URL#results

And

Trend Micro Site Safety Center

@miggy, I would be really surprised if digitalworldz had malware on it.

There was however an old smilie installed that was linked from some dodgy website

We found that about 6 months ago and it was removed as soon as we knew. And we checked all other smilies to be sure.

What could happen is someone else posts an image or file...

That would be outside of our hands, that is why we try to host all files and images but allot of members do post images in posts from other sites unfortunately

Nothing flagged up my end @miggy.

No adverts or even warning from my antivirus/anti malware and I'm on this site every day lol :)

It could be a third party download as Mick mentioned which we unfortunately don't have control over.

Have you downloaded from this site before you started having this problems and if so can you PM one of us and we can look into it and remove it if found to be positive for virus/malware.

I haven't downloaded anything m8. When it does happen I cannot get on DW it will not load what it did do and this is twice now, is it loaded all different types of adverts. Malwarebytes shifted it in one go yet my Mcafee said there was no viruses??.
