Hardware Cant get comp to power on

hi I updated my comp to windows ten and regretted it ever since. it worked for 2 days then everything started to dissapeer, emails, contacts , bookmarks,passwords price lists, invoices and programs I rolled it back to windows 7 and still things keppt dissapeering so last night i decided to nuke it and put 7 back on. I disconnected all other drives but it wouldnt find the hard drive to wipe.so i took off 2 little switches on motherboard 1 power led the other atx sw still couldnt find hard drive so i put it all back together. when u put the power in it lights up for couple of secs thengoes of its allways done that, but when i try to put it on iwth power button nothing happens
its a medion Akoya motherboard is msi 7800
I phoned Medion this morning and the warranty has just run out on the 8th of this month
anybody any idea what iv'e done wrong
