Hardware graphic card or motherboard fault?

having a nightmare with my pc and not sure which way to go next.

i am getting no piocture on moniter.
I changed out the power supply unit because it was old and seemed suspect, so in know that's good now.

here is a picture of what i get onscreen
flashes up for maybe 5/10 seconds, then a blank screen...

i am torn between replacing the graphic card or motherboard or the whole tbh.

unfortunatly i don't have anything to test individual parts on, so looking for opinions as to what is most likely causing my stress...

well was only 25quid delivered .

get what you pay for.. :)

so small cards probably fooked and second cards probably killing the psu..


be easier to buy a cheap card, i dont do pc gaming or anything like that

wont have killed the psu but will shut it down due to overload protection
try taking the cd rom and hd off but this will only save 35 watts or so

it does come on when i disconnect the ssd, screen still a mess but can see the wwritign behind it to insert boot media

I will try and get a smaller card tomoz..

failing that, a diesel generator for the big card lol

yes, it was m8..

but i put a new psu in tonight and it was the small card that was in use when it fooked up.

cant remember exactly why i swopped the big card out..

just a quick update.
had to bite the the bullet today and bought a video card from maplins. (i know there expensive, but wasn't wanted to order online and wait and 40 notes isn't alot to get me computer up and running again)

the new card has solved the problem.. :excited::excited::excited:


Thanks to all who spent time helping me on this thread, much appreciated.. :)

i have an overclocking feature and a gpu tuning feature with this card.
whats that all about then??
or should i leave well alone.. lol
