Dell 620 on xp

My son has dell 620 laptop graphics went a bit strange. Had a look in device manager & it had a yellow mark against the graphics card. Re installed the driver & all was ok for a while , then it reverted back to same problem (including yellow mark in device manager).

Anyone know what could cause this (my thoughts are a hard drive problem or a virus/malware).

I had look around and found that there is an issue with the nvidia card that comes with some of these laptops. On the whole people seem to be replacing the card. I did find one post elswhere

:I started to uninstall the NVidia display drivers and reverted back to the most basic driver there is in windows vista. Then I went to the Dell Support Site and downloaded the one and only supported driver available for the NVidia Quadro 110M display adapter. This is a driver is older than Vista itself (8-22-2006) but it appears this one is working properly :
