How can i get rid of searchnu.com/411

Hi, i think my laptop has picked up a virus or some kind of malware when i downloaded a free mp3 splitter app :(
Every time i launch google chrome the default home page is all the w's followed by searchnu.com/411. and i cant seem to change it.
I have tried removing this with AVG Free and Spyware Terminator, neither of which have been successful.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this please?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

one other thing to mention is to go into Add/Remove programs in Control panel and do a search for 'searchnu', you'll probably find it with the same installation date as when you installed whatever program you think gave you the problem!
