MMC
Regedit
CertMgr
Control Panel Options
Notepad
Calc

remove windows messenger

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

regarding the "msconfig":
Try that on a Windows 2000 system :)

Why not, Just download the Windows 2000 [DLMURL="http://www.techadvice.cc/files/s29k2/win-xp/msconfig.exe"]MSconfig[/DLMURL] file to put in the windows folder first though of course ;)

That's where i was going :)
msconfig doesn't come with Win 2000, but can be copied from an XP installation without any problems :)

heres one for 98-ME

winipcfg

this shows u all ur stuff that u would find in the ipconfig/all in the dos mode and puts it in a nice GUI regarding network peripherals and boradband

if ur on a network then:

\\[computername]

i.e \\pc2

opens up the shared files and folders on that computer

Forgot about this thread. Okay some more nice ones,

IPCONFIG /all (Display full configuration information.)

IPCONFIG /release (Release the IP address for the specified adapter)

IPCONFIG /renew (Renew the IP address for the specified adapter)

SYSTEMINFO (WinXP only and my favourite one plenty of info here)

Yeah And Format D: Will format the D Drive or
Format E: Will format E Drive...
Format F: Will format F Drive
Format G: Will format G: Drive

Format C/u: =Formats the COmputers Drive C beyond recovery: ie. if you selling your old drive you might want to use this method of format so it erases it properly so that some one cant use recovery software to steel your data. Takes a little longer to format -erase- but its worth it.

Activating Guest Account Password

This is a nice one. Microsoft will have you believe the guest account has not option for a password but there is ;)

First activate the guest account then get a command prompt, Start, run and type cmd.

Then type Net user guest password .

Now go to the accounts screen again and you'll have the option to add a password to this account :)
