i have an acer 6390 laptop,and now when i start it up it says enter password,i think it is asking for the bios or hdd drive password but i dont know what it is.is there anyway round this ive tried to look for the cmos battery but i think it is under the keyboard and dont really want to start stripping the laptop to bitz.

I have an acer travelmate laptop which i forgot the bios password to, the only way to recover is to pull the damn thing apart. On mine it has a microswitch under the keyboard which resets the bios. But I couldnt find any info on the net about it, I had to buy a service manual PDF from a web site for a couple of quid to find the switch.
