Hello Digital Friends i have a HP Compaq dc7100 Ultra-slim Desktop PC i just replaced the motherboard and ram when booting up it says -

1801-Microcode Update Error
Missing or Invalid Processor Microcode Update. Please contact
Hewlett-Packard Company for a new Microcode Update to support the
new Processor Stepping.

HP Compaq dc7100 SFF (PE270ET)

F1:Boot <F9=Boot Menu> <F10=Setup> <F12=Network Service Boot>

Could anyone point me in the right direction so the computer boots into windows without pressing the F1 key everytime at startup ?

why dig up a 3 year old post that the op has said "thanks closed" ?

the information you have given is wrong also, the guy needed the hp/compaq rompaq to update the new board to accommodate the processor he has, nothing to do with cmos battery.

try here first Who Are You ? say hello and then post on current threads maybe.

This thread has actually had a few strange replies in the past!

I did notice this one earlier but let it go as the IP address of the last poster is from Sri Lanka, there might be a misunderstanding somewhere.
