Take a Guess
I have a Epson R300 printer and all of a sudden just stopped printing the black ink, the monitoring software said there was still ink in the cartridge, so did a few checks and clean jets tried again still same changed black cartridge, software showed full tryed again, still same but started to get parts of each line, have used the Epson online diagnostics, still have problem anyone have any ideas

Try the Epson SSC utility at link below, it will allow you to rset the counters which can stop the printer from working but it also has some other great features like power head claening etc etc. You may also have to change your colour cartridge even if it says it is full, may be a dodgy chip on it.

OLMANKEN! Just to let you know I have done this with my R300 and I have had no more probs, The printer can make a real cranking grinding sound but dont worry it is all part of the setup. regards Oddy
