Hi, i am looking for some advise on best solution for quiet cooling. Its for a pentium4 socket478 processor, 1.8ghz speed, so nothing special. The current cpu fan is louder than the neighbours fiat panda at 6000 rpm.

The pc is now built into some furniture so that its integrated and hidden but that dont help the noise.
So whats the best way to cool at a realistic cost? Low noise is priority but expense is an issue since its not exactly a fantastic spec machine. Are there very quiet fans to recommend, or cheap liquid cooling.... or what else?
Any suggestions please?

hey thats a great link with loads of different options, thanks little_pob just what i need, I think those zalman fans look good. Apparently ultra-silent and they have a smaller 92mm version that would probably suit me fine on a 1.8ghz processor.
Cheers.
