Got a Zgemma H.2H stuck on boot with the red power light constantly on. I tried re flashing and I also tried to flash it with both bootloaders off zgemma.tv website but not joy. The USB sticks fine as it works on others. IS it a cap or something as I'm fine soldering.

try different usb stick mate, these boxes are very tempremental, i had to try at least 4 different usb stick before it worked..also.. format stick to FAT32..use HDDGURU for a low level format of usb sticks..also use rear port...did you make a backup of original fw ?..if so try reflashing..but id say it was usb stick issue..

Had trouble flashing Zgemma's with USB, the best one I found was SanDisk Cruzer Blade 4gb for flashing and 128gb for recording

Had this issue once or twice.
As previous posts mentioned with USBs not liking to flash.
(common problem with zgemmas)

A clean format to FAT32 on Kingston 2GB always fixed that for me.
But as you say @silverdale other UBSs flash boxes.
Have you removed any other external USB/HDD before flash?

Also I see posts saying to flash from front USB port.
Ive never used front port "ALWAYS" rear USB port.

I new about the Zgemma been a fussy sod with USB sticks but this one was refusing my trusty USB stick that has never let me down.
After about a dozen formats it eventually flashed but it seems the thunder storm that made it stick in boot mode has blown the HDMI socket on the Zgemma as I cant get a picture on screen.
It works fine on the AV phono's but dead on the HDMI.

I exhausted it looking for a solution but it seems the HDMI socket is dead for good. Still works with the AV so not all that bad
