Looking for a duel Cable tuner box, it needs to be Enigma 2 so that I can share it arround the house with kodi, it also need to be cheap max £100 and most importantly have support here so that I can set it up.

Any suggestions welcome

Iv got a Vu+ Duo and its super slow with kodi... Not sure if a £100 box will do the trick.

Is that with the Vu running Kodi or with a kodi box accessing the Vus Tuners?

Fire TV box with Kodi and vu enigma2 pvr enabled

OK is it just slow to change channels?

how long doe it take?

is the quality good once it is on the channel?

Takes ages to pull epg, ages to zap it buffers I get green artifacts. I'm running gigabit all round house, but neither box is gigabit. Duo is probably not got enough memory either.

Not sure why it's so slow. HD channels just don't stream full stop.

Might be a setup issue, the fire tv or the duo...

Thats not good, my PC setup is better than that already.

BTW you don't need a gigabit network for HD if you are using wired 100 is plenty so that is not your problem, can you stream recorded programs OK to a Kodi box?

It might be limitation of the box it's first gen fire tv not tried recordings. Gave up after channel changes.

Wasn't a good experience. With something with a bit more juice I think it will be fine but and trial and error.

I used to have an amiko combo until i found out they were closed source. I then bought a vu zero and i stream around the house to various fire tv hubs. Problem is that it only has 1 tuner so everyone watches the same thing. next time i'll get a duo 2

Iv updated my kodi and tbf my original duo works better than it used to. Doesn't seem to load epg so maybe that's why.

HD channels actually stream so you might want to ignore my earlier comments :)

Now looking at the Xtrend 8500, for £240 I can have 2 sat and 2 cable tuners, seems like a good box and a good deal
