Box arrived yesterday flashed with https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?resources/3777/opentv 5.1, recommended by Ferret, thanks Ferret, very pleased, great image to start off with, set up sat side no problem, rats bouquets, epg and all channels clearing

On the cable side, set up bouquets using autobouquets no problem, took me a while but eventualy got mgcamd 1.38 loaded, heres the problem, softcam panel shows mgcamd active but no hd channels clearing all hd channels are listed in bouquets, i have 29 fta sd channels all working.

On sat side i use CCcam i disable this when i'm trying to run mgcamd

Have i missed something ?

Any help as always much appreciated

Cheers

Could be possible your hd channels are not correct for your area do you have signal on those ? Are the sd channels clearing ?

Yes all fta clearing, scanning from autobouquetmaker, have 3 wolverhampton region, scanned all 3, all the same.

How do i check for a signal on the hd channels ?

cheers

There are no sd premium channels in scan, only sd are fta, all other channels are hd only

- - - Updated - - -

Think it could be to do with mgcamd, downloaded it and removed it a few times before it was active, i'll keep persevering for now and may be refalsh tomorrow if i have no joy.

Don't mind realy, its a good way to learn.

Well your not scanning correctly with Auto bouqets if you have no SD premium channels.

Take a look at your scan parameters.

You also need a correctly configured mg_cfg file in /usr/keys folder as the downloaded one that comes with the emulator will not work with cable

Ok found this mg_cfg on another site, works perfect, hooray !

Cheers for the help guy's

For L: you might consider either disabling it or make sure the ip address/port and file location are correct. Else it will be trying to write a log entry to an invalid location which may cause you problems on your local LAN or the cam may randomly stop.

Cheers for that, seems to be running ok so far, how would i
go about disabling it if i needed to ?

Thanks

Paul

It's actually already disabled with the L: { 00 } meaning its off the 172.16.1.1 28007 /tmp/mgcamd.log means nothing when the L value is set to off { 00 } because ist not logging to send to that IP of log.

Damn, never spotted that, just saw the ip address and log file name and assumed :)

To the OP, ignore my rambling and Ferrets' reply.
