got mine i think its a great piece of kit plex went on straight away streaming my films etc havnt done any other apps yet could you recommend any for films, sport, if any

I just got mine yesterday and it's working a treat with Plex and the Unsupported Plugins.
I did run into a problem early on though, the box wouldn't connect to my network.
After some searching I found the following solution (sorry if this has been posted already), seems like a common problems with Virgin Superhub 2

I've ordered one of these, well worth a tenner to play with. While waiting its arrival I decided to install plex media server on my mac. It installed ok and I followed instructions on page 3 of this post. When it came to installing 'UnSupportedAppstore.bundle' the directory ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins didn't exist on my mac? The folder~/Library/Application Support exists so i created a subfolder/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins and copied UnSupportedAppstore.bundle into the new folder. I restarted but not before I'd ticked the disable capability checking box. There was no UnSupportedAppstore channel to select. After much farting about I decided to load PMS on my Windows 7 pc, following the instructions on page 3 of this post. This worked no problem, so I turned the mac back on. When I ran the app by double clicking the > the UnSupportedAppstore channel is available. So I installed Icefilms, etc all fine. But when I then logged oit the Windows PC the UnSupportedAppstore channel and channels I'd added like Icefilms had all vanished on the mac, so the mac was running the extra channels from the pc?
Anyone any advice on where I'm going wrong with the mac. I did notice in the pc destination folder for theUnSupportedAppstore.bundle already had all the other standard add on bundles, I tried searching the mac for a few of the files and found FA.

My mac install went fine? I chose the default settings and the only non standard change is that my tv/movies are on my NAS Box.
Everything else went smoothly as I remember.

cant seem to get navi x working at all keeps saying old app i got one from unsupported apps and updated it but still dosnt work any ideas please

Got Now box. Followed all instructions but can't connect to it in developer mode at all , either from laptop or PC - ip address is correct.
All secret menus work including enabling dev mode etc
Tried a factory reset and repeating process but still cant connect to box. Any ideas ??

Hi guys ,Little help if possible please?.
After reading all about the now tv I bought 1 and to my amazement I actually got it to stream my movies (how proud am I!). But its all new to me and I just can not figure out how to update my folders when I add new files, Could anyone 1 help me please

right click your plex iron on your pc and update but it does it its self after afew minutes

Not sure if its already posted as too many comments to trawl through but PLEX NowTV Client 2.8.2 | NakedCleaner is the most recent PLEX for NOWTV client that I can find

I've moved you post to the "correct" thread. I should have changed the plex install guide to a link here a while back.
I've removed the link to the 2.8.2 Plex client, as Admin like us to host files locally where possible

Anyone can upload files. As far as I know upload isn't bound by the 5 post rule either.

just got a new box so my mum could link into my plex server and it now look like you need to add a credit card to you acc before there let you active the box .that sucks

Just make sure you put a pin on your account for purchases, my toddler was playing with remote and bought me a sky sports pass by accident lol, was gutted as there was no footy on that either

What about a brand new £9.99 one from Sly? No new firmwares or anything on new boxes to stop this exploit or dev mode working is there?
Is there live tv support for the basics like BBC, ITV, Ch4 etc. without paying for anything? ...I'm looking for something cheap for my mum to use. Streaming files from PC is ok but needs to have live tv streaming as well? Something like Filmon plugin on XBMC would be great?

All the main iplayers are on there....ITV,BBC,c5 and YouTube but to use for live TV I wouldn't recommend it for your mum. You'd need a server running ands that's probably beyond her. Get her a new TV ya tight git [emoji4]
