Network Provider Samsung i900 omnia

anyone got any ideas on how to get sat nav to install on the samsung omnia. any help would be great

try this, I have pasted this from another forum....

First go to Main Menu, Settings, System
Then choose External GPS: Make the GPS Program Port: COM3
an the bottom choose 'access' and make sure the box is checked there
Exit this
Now under System, click
'Enhanced GPS', and turn XTRA ENABLE ON (you can use wifi as the connection)

Now quit everything and open up TomTom7

Hit 'Change preferences' then 'Show GPS Status'

Hit 'Configure'
then 'Other NMEA GPS Receiver'
The GPS BAUD RATE: use 4800
and and choose COM3
Now the screen should say "Poor GPS Reception'
put the phone in some open land for a few minutes and boom youll have 8 satellites connected!
You can turn off the XTRA setting under enhanced GPS now and it will still work.

hanx forthe reply i got it all sorted and working a treat. i thought it was gonna be just plug and play straight out the box had a whole weekend of trying to sort it, nearly even put it for sale on the bay. but its all cool now and i'm loving it :banana::banana::banana:

Did you get it working using my previous post or did you try somthing else?

Let me knw as my Omnia is due to arrive tomorrow and im planing to install tomtom straight away

i installed gps gate on the phone and that sorted out a few issues that i had with no gps reception :Clap: the main prob i first had was i was trying to install the .cab file all wrong. been a while since i done it and was having a bit of blonde moment :silly:

Which navigation-software has the phone "omnia" ???
