open box v5s channels scrambled

hi apologies if this is the wrong place to post this I have a query on my box that is giving me a headache, basically I have 2 boxes in my home the v8s upstairs is working fine but my v5s downstairs is showing all free channels scrambled. ive checked cc cams on v5s and it says offline / login and the v8s online, both boxes have the same c line as I entered them myself from my supplier and has been working well up till 3 days ago when v5s went off I took box upstairs and plugged in no channels, bought v8s down and plugged in all channels so its not my connection also gift def not expired only renewed 5 months ago for the year but supplier not emailing back which is unusal as hes normally very responsive.
can the box pack up so it don't receive a connection at all I'm stumped as to why the one upstairs works but one down don't on same settings other than username thanks
 
when Ethernet cable is in the V5s is there lights flickering in Ethernet port?
Try swapping lines in boxes.
 
​v8s works up and downstairs v5 neither ill try what you said about disconnecting Ethernet cable to see if he is allowing 2 connections many thanks for reply
 
what you mean my supplier has managed to turn off my channels ? or is he having a prob with his server, my v8s is still working cheers

It does look like supplier is issue but I'm trying to rule out things first.

I assume your both lines are from same supplier.
Is the DNS and port the same?

did you try removing Ethernet cable from V8s and check the V5s.
Also try turning line off on V8s and try the one from the V5s in it and vise versa.
 
hi mate yes both lines are from same supplier dns and port are the same, I disconnected Ethernet upstairs from v8s as its not even powered on and reconnected Ethernet on v5 but still offline/login I have emailed supplier but no response yet hes normally really good so I'm hoping he will put it right his end if its at his end cheers

also my mate has a v8s off same supplier with same c line and hes still running fine
 
Put the line from the V8s in the V5s.
If that does not clear it looks like there may be issue with box.
(maybe flash new firmware)

If the 2 separate lines have the same DNS and port yet it clears on one but not the other that should rule out server issue.
 
the v5s already has the same line as the v8s mate ive tried that has the same dns and port so could be a issue with the box ill have to wait for supplier to email back hopefully

Indeed it is but you say two lines are same....

how is that possible when "user" is different?

double check port and DNS.
You said user is different?????

That can not be the case if two lines are the same and "user" is different.

Could be a dns issue just go and have a look. Best way is to save your line somewhere and re-set the box to factory settings and work all the way up. Goodluck.
