No signal

Hi I'm new to all of this but have just added open box s8 but also use sky for record etc. I've used additional co-ax from sky dish. Open box is working fine but the sky is hit and miss (no signal) any advice?

Have you put the cable feed in yourself from the dish?

Are you sure you haven't knocked the cable going to your sky box?

Tip: open/sky type receivers do not get along with official receivers. switch off official box (unplug) and then try it

If I unplug the sky and plug it back in sometimes it will be ok and then lose signal again? once I have been on openbox and gone back to sky?

This could be what I'm looking at as it seems to be when they are both on, the problem is I want to be able to keep the sky on so the wife can record her soaps etc?
