open box v5s

got one of these boxes given today it came with skybox firmware on it... so updated to latest open box so could use the network to download latest firmware and t/p s....... all gone great added everything i needed all up and running apart from the movies will not clear is this a problem with these boxes ?

Have you uploaded a recent channel list update to box?
There was awhile ago all movies were moved. But that was about a year ago.

Or try doing a scan then check movies.

i updated channel list through network then when go to favourites everything works except M even tried going through all and still the same. i will try scan 1 satelite see how that goes..

This is a strange one @unison mate.

Try running your line in different box to test movie issue.
If it works on other box then try different firmware on slybox.
Had many slyboxes/openboxes in my day but I always like to just upload channel lists to box.

But doing a fresh scan and "just movies" not clearing is strange.
Especially when everything else is clear.

check LNB settings on box

did you do a full factory reset once you updated firmware

when ever I flash these boxes I always do a factory reset clear everything. Also be aware when you do factory reset the network DHCP is disabled, so check this is enabled

when you do a factory reset do you lose the CCam not the details i've entered the actual CCam ? or do i just back these up to usb ???

factory reset backed everything up to usb still the same even download channel list from ireland to try and still no M.....

do you get any EPG can you take a photo of the issue with the OSD as well showing the various information

just saw it, so its not clearing the channels hence the scrambled message you get - what cam are you using ?

new cam yes its clearing other channels not the M......there should of been two images one not clearing and working on the other image didn't want to upload to forum incase broke any rules

which firmware version did you flash
