Hi all i have just got a skybox f3 and have sea lion setup and running fine for uk however i used to use softcam keys on my technomate box to get stuff on sirus etc can anyone piont me in the right direction of softcam keys and how to install them (ie same as technomate using usb drive)thanks and hope someone can help me out.

you would have to know the encryption type and if the openbox even does it via softcam.
I think the softcam just does 2 oddball types.

Thanks for your reply, I might have to look at getting a sea lion for foreign satellites (mainly for 3pm football kick offs) if that's possible, if anyone has any info on this please pm me thanks

H i i have softcam working on openboxs9
there are many sources of current keys use google
then load unzipped file to usb and enter ,same way as you entered sea lions
the problem is that early firmware didnt have the softcam option in the menu
to check go to manage cccam files and see if you have the softcam option ,you can also enter biss keys into constant.cw option .the down side is that theres nor a great deal that can be opened but enough to keep you busy.
i cant mention any specific sites but any up to date softcam list can be used ,but its easyier if you look for openbox section then keys ,good luck

openbox has it's own format for softcam file, the details are in the help files for the lan manager program. The bloated softcam files you see posted on the net probably won't work.As an example I have seen softcams with biss keys, these would never work since the biss key must be loaded as a constant.cw file instead.Softcams with nagra keys don't work either.
