How do i test my network on the openbox to see he its working. I have put my c lines in but i get channel scrambled. Is there a way to test to see if it has internet?

Maybe its because i an tethering the net from my phone to the pc at the moment until i get virgin put in?

In the menu go into network CCcamd client, CCcamd.cfg, Manage.cfg

You should now see your sealion and it should have a tick at the end. It will say either Online, Offline or login.

If your tethering from phone to PC, have your enabled "share this computers internet connection" in the properties of you lan.

Im not sure but if i connect my xbox to my pc then it works so i assume it is. I don't think it supports that dhp or what ever it is. I have tried typing the things in manual but must not of done it right. Can't seem to find a guide on how to do it either.

Have you tried rebooting your computer with the ethernet connected to your box and the box switched on. It sounds like it could be an ip conflict.

I haven't mate. What shall i do in the network settings tho mate on the box. Shall i just tick that dhp?

DHCP ON

Reeboot computer and give it time to fully boot up then reboot your box.

Have you copied and pasted the line and uploaded it via usb?

No i have done it manualy as i can find my usb. I have a few in there actually. Will try that then mate.

Just a quick check.

Are you plugging the computer direct to the box, as I had a similar issue and that might not work unless your using a cross over cable.

An xbox wouldnt need a cross over as it can handle that, so you would need to take cable from computer into a hub/switch then from hub/switch to your box that will resolve the lack of cross over cable.

Yes mate I'm plugging it directly to the box. What's a crossover cable?

Would my old virgin media hub work OK? Its not activated tho.

A cross over cable is required on some machines due how you transmit and receive data and on what pins it is on the CAT5/6 cable.

An xbox was designed to handle either through a router or without so didnt mind it in theory being a cross over connection.

I would think in theory the old virgin hub would work as you are using it as a switch. so just plug computer and box into it. (the hub would need power of course)
