cheers mate, wot shud i use to position the dish?

make sure the bracket is plumb first and then try line it up based on either using dishpointer.com to pinpoint your address, and then using that as a rough guide,
or if one of the neighbors has a similar setup just point it in the same direction, then make sure the box has a channel list on it and tune to BBC or ITV then move the dish left or right and up or down very slightly to tweak the signal, also dont forget to skew the lnb correctly :)

Yes m8 identify your house and then move the little green blob to where you will be siting your dish,
then change the satellite drop down menu to 28.2e and it will show you roughly what direction you need to point your dish :)

cheers mate i got a rough idea now.....

If thats your actual house in dishpointer when you enter them co-ordinates I would edit it out :)

I dont want to hijack, but could you explain what the skew is, and how to do it?? I am in a similar situation and putting my first dish up as soon as my F3 arrives (and it stops raining).

It's the angle of the lnb m8

If you are facing the front of the dish, the part of the lnb where the cable connects needs to be pointing at 7 o clock approx :)
