actually if you are handy at soldering you could do a leg lift on the varistor on the tuner itself and mount the diode/cap there-internally to the receiver.
ancient thread but any pics or tuts on this? dont want to spend 6 quid on the bay for something less than 1 quid

just read this post and wow man youre being extremely rude , i myself have been installing satellites for years and this just seems to be a problem with openboxes , i think in retrospect its been a firmware issue with the openboxes which seems to have been sorted
