record n watch another

With the openbox you can record 1 channel and watch another,as long as the channel is on the same transponder as the one you are recording.
Start recording and hit the ok button on remote,it will show a list of available channels to view while recording.If you have it hooked to a vcr or dvd burner,you can record 2 different channels at the same time with this technique.(on the same transponder limitation)Since the receiver only has 1 tuner.

I thought this was would be the case, as it is with the BM7000, but I've never had it confirmed.

older firmware from the beginning of the year didn't have the feature,I don't know when it started.There is a youtube video from august that shows it.Others say other m3602 based receivers will do the same thing.

my orton x4 which is an ali chip and same size box as s10 does this on fta channels but not from my share line as if i change channels from a scrambled channel being cleared by the line then to another scrambled channel the recording stops so the other scrambled channel can clear to be viewed may be different if you have two lines but i only use the one but good feature for fta channels

scrambled channel probably needs the receivers full attention.
I only use the s10 for true fta.
