hi guys - this is very confusing.. i have 2 openbox s9 HD.. one works 100% very happy..

however- the otherone use to work fine - its been disconnected for past 2 mouths & now i decided to connect it again.. & half the channels dont work it says NO SIGNAL -when i manually put in frequency it returnes no channels found .. i have a full UK Sub so all channels should be working as it does on the other one.. i did a full factory reset & rescanned all channels & now all channels that didnt work dont even show up.. why is this.. PLS HELP !!

1. Are both on the same firmware revision? If not try upgrading or re-flash.
2. Have you tried to dump the channel list from the working box and use it on the "non working box"
3. Have you checked your LNB feed (and is the LNB switched on within the box)
4. Have you tried the working box on the cable connected to the non working box or vice versa to ensure its not a duff connection, equally have you swapped out the cable if its terminated at a local box on the wall?

Cheers Exos for replying -
1. re-flashed with NM_HDS2_CMT_1008311815 firmware (anyother u might recomend? link ?)
2.yes ive done this - but as the channel is not in the channel list as its not found from the frequency, it says NO SIGNAL
3.yes LNB swithed on witin box - ive been through all setting & all match..
4. i only have the 1 cable connection anyway so yes.. 1 box works through the connection & the other box has many channels that dont even scan..

* i was thinking of buying a signal booster to see if that helps - but then im thinking it cant be the signal if the other box works fine..
*could it be the tuner in the box has gone ?? if it was a faulty tuner would ALL channels stoop working ?? can the tuner just pack in all of a sudden ??

It is entirely possible that you have a knackered tuner and given you've tried most of what i've suggested then it most likely is or its at least on its way out. I had something similar on my Sky HD box and only certain channels would display, but the originals were known to have dodgy tuners.

I can't see the firmware making and difference, but try this one which is the same one i'm using. Also try the attached channel list.

Signal boosters are a waste of time, i tried one and it infact made my signal worse.

I’ve got exactly the same problem, I keep doing a satellite scan and it keeps saying no channels found and no signal.
I have tried at least 4 different firmware’s but nothing seems to work.
The box says that it can’t read the CCcam.cfg file.
Any ideas folks don’t know what else to try.

Cheers

I'm guessing this is two issues you are highlighting?

With regards to your CCCam issue are you reading it in via the usb stick or over the LAN with the upload program? I found that i had issues on a few other boxes reading in the CCcam using the USB Stick due to iffy ports.

In answer to your channel issue, have you ensure you have selected an appropriate sat?

as exos says make sure you have selected the 28.2E channel in the single satellite list and try entering the CCcam.cfg with the remote control instead of on the usb stick it is possible you have called the CCcam.cfg file CCcam.cfg.cfg unless you have ticked show known filetypes in windows folder settings

Hiya
I do have the dish set to 28.2 and have ticked it so I presume all is ok so far.
I don’t know how to enter the CCcam.cfg with the remote control or over the LAN with the upload program?
Could you please explain more in an idiots guide please as this is about the only thing I have not tried?

Regards

menu then scroll along to the last option on the right, press enter then it says manage cccam cfg, press ok then make sure there is a tick on your line & it says online
