Network Provider Cant downgrade Tariff after 12 months

Bit sneeky of o2 but i see they have followed suite to the rest of the networks,i downgraded my contract a while back from £32 to £15.99 after 12 months of my contract so my m8 who has a s3 took out a contract with o2 12 months ago with the thinking that after 12 months he can drop down to a cheaper tariff but after phoning them last week was told that they had stopped this now on all contacts taken out,lets say he wasnt happy,he told the woman on the phone that if he was told this he would of took the cheaper tariff out originally,just a heads up incase your thinking of taking out a contract with o2 :silly:

It might work if he phones up and tells them he is planning to move to another network? Find a decent deal with another network and quote that to them, they might be more inclined to offer a "deal".
