Ok, Wii on 4.2. Softmodded ages ago with Edoggs and others guides.

However, bought a USB HDD to run the games, so today went to install the USB loaders etc via the tuts posted here. (Dogtoffee and Bally IIRC?)

Anyway, soon as I open Wad Manager 1.5 press A to continue my Wiimote shuts off and I have to power down the Wii to get working again.

If I try to enter BootMii in HB, again everything locks up, and I'm left with a black screen and a power down is needed again.

Any ideas on how I solve this please? PreLoader/PriiLoader installed. (IOS only, though do have the NAND/Bin backups)

Only thing I've done since doing the HB a while ago, is installed a solderless DriveKey. (Can't be that, surely?)

try a different wad manager.

bootmii will freeze if the bootmii folders are removed from sd card

Thanks guys for the replies.

Can somebody point me to an alternative Wad Manager please?

Also, yes, my mistake re Bootmii. I removed it when I backed up the NAND etc and forgot to put it back! Does it just go back into the root of the SD card?

Thanks buddy, will grab that now, and give it a whirl later when the missus is off the TV.

EDIT- Got another link please?

does everything u try go to blank screen or just wad manager?

Yes, seemingly, well sort of...

Wad manger locks up the Wiimote, and I've tried four different managers. (1.5, 1.7, GUI Wad manager and YAWM)

I went into Custom Cios38 v14 Installer to check that, but that also locks up the Wiimote.

PriLoader seemed to work ok, BootMii is working again, now that it's back on the SD. (;))

Need some help please guys, again. Nothing is ever straightforward on this damn Wii of mine!

Is it safe for me to run the hacks from the beginning again? (Bally's guide IIRC, with folders 1, 2, 3 & 4 etc?) Or will the fact that I've got PriLoader, and other things done/installed cause problems?

Is there anything I can run to clean it up, so I can get the poxy thing working normally again?

Cheers.

I dont think you need to redo the hack, try new batterys or control, make sure the lock is not no at the side of sd (that has got me a few times lol).
if you want i can copy my sd an upload it.

Thanks buddy, but I checked the batteries and controller etc. I ended up doing the softmod again, everything working again now, well pretty much anyway. (Thanks for the files m8.)

I have two final problems though...

Preloader. I can't access the boot menu. (Forgotten what/how I did this before?!) I've downloaded and installed the latest version, but the PreLoader menu doesn't show on reboot?

Also, getting a blue screen 222(?) error message on NSMB.

Oh yeah and finally. (lol) On the GX Loader, what's the password to unlock the menu options? (Could also do with a clue as to why the covers aren't showing with it?)

Thanks to Dogtoffee for the assistance.

you access perloader by holding reset on boot up you might have to reinstall it after installing IOS70

Pm sent about NSMB

there should be no pass in gx loader

press 1 to download covers

Topman. Really appreciate all the support you've given me mate.

BTW, GX pass is ab121b to edit/adjust the menu/config options?

I'll sort the rest out later with a bit of luck. :)
