Evening All,

I'm buying a new Wii for my cuzin who's birthday it is next week and I reckon this new console will probably be one of the one's with this apoxy resin on the chip so was wondering what would be the best way to modify it?

Last time I modded a Wii was when they first came out and I used the pic chip method with a yaosm hex.

I've seen threads about this new softmod and sticky regarding the same, if I were to implement this method on this new Wii, do you reckon it'll be able to play ALL the back up games which I have acquired the same as how I play them on my old wii, so no need for me to open up this new Wii and mess around with mod chips or the apoxy resin??

Thanks in advance for your time and help, any advise on the above would be appreacited.

softmod is going to be the way to go its quite new at the mo so it dont play all backups but it plays most of them now but when its devoleped more it will do everything look at the original xbox in the end the soft mod does everything a chip can

the epoxy glue is a bitch to get off try to use the other solder points you only need to remove a small bit of glue for that

Do you still have to patch the games when using softmod

I would go with the softmod m8, it's easy to do (after reading English's excellent tut) & no opening up of the Wii. Plays about 80% of the back ups I have got & things can only get better ;-)
