Wot Is Newsgroups Is It A P2P Client Like Emule Or Bittorrent? Dont Laugh lol!

News groups are exactly what they say... places for people to obtain information on a variety of subject materials. The nice thing about them is that they have been "exploited" for their tremendous download speeds by comunities who post software and multi media. There are a number of free news servers and an number of pay servers. The pay servers tend to be better as they keep articles for longer and allow you more connections and thus better download speeds. The files on newsgroups reside on news servers as oposed to peer to peer where they reside on other peoples pc's (unless they run a server or have access to one!!). You will need a news reader.. i use grabit which is free... some pay sites will provide you with reader software such as newshound.
