Do you really need a separate card for each game I wonder?

looks like it, there doesn't appear to be any menu screens.

the crown cards that never materialised were the same sort of idea.
worryingly though, there were only a handfull of games that it could run.

I wonder if these cards can really run all 3ds roms or not....
the video doesn't really prove it....

here's hoping though. :)

another thing is that the 3ds roms are much bigger in size, wouldnt fit many on a flashcard anyways..

yea good point buzzer - good stuff though be interesting to see what comes of it

this this card falls a long way short of a proper flashcard tbh.

here's some FAQ'S from the official website...

GATEWAY 3DS F.A.Q
04/06/2013

Q.
Is it one microSD per game?
A.
Currently yes.

Q.
Must the microSD card size match the game size?
A.
No, so long as the microSD card is larger than the rom size.

Q.
Can it play games from other regions?
A.
Currently no, however due to popular demand, we have launched an investigation into this possibility.

Q.
Can it play Homebrew?
A.
No.

Q.
Are saved games working? Once you take out the game is the save file kept or lost?
A.
We are currently working to fully support back up and restore of save data.

Q.
Can Nintendo block Gateway with an update?
A.
Anything is possible we would rather not speculate (As always, any system updates should be avoided)

Q.
How big are the games and what is the minimum size for the microSD card?
A.
Some range from 256MB to 4GB

Q.
Can you play multiplayer local and mostly online?
A.
Yes, but we advise not to use online features

Q.
Do the game keep internet capacity?
A.
Yes, but we advise not to use online features

Q.
Is it upgradable?
A.
Yes some aspects of the design will be upgradable.

Q.
Can it run normal DS roms?
A.
No, there are many alternative options for this.

Q.
Suggested Retail price?
A.
About $80/€65

some serious issues there..

1. no sav data can be saved yet.
2. can't play normal dsi roms.
3. not region free yet.

I reckon ninty will block this card in no time at all...

It's a start at least. Pity only one game per micro sd.

PRE-orders now being taken for this card...

It was said gateway 3ds will sell this week, but personally i wouldnt buy it till more tested being made. After all,at present,it can just work on 3ds v4.5,but i have updated my console to v6.1.0-11,so i will keep my r4i gold 3ds till gateway 3ds finally hacked and became perfectly to use.

I had an email from them few days back saying that it was due out in 10 days, but I'm skipping on it for few points:

1. Price tag is too high. It will eventually drop down and even further more when competitors bring out similar products.

2. Ability to play only 1 game per memory card is just too inconvenient. You have swap cards to play different games or erase and write new games to existing memory card.

3. First products are usually the most buggy. Newer improved versions and competitor products might offer improved functionality.
