Ds lite screen wont work????? Help please

Hi

My son has a Nintendo DS Lite and all of a sudden the top screen has stopped working, it lights up when the console is switched on but it does not show any of the game details. The only thing on the screen other than light is an odd shape.

Please could you tell me what the problem may be and if its fixable.

I have read another post about this somewhere but I can't remember where,

I think if I remember right that it should just need a new screen (but I could be wrong)

will have a hunt around to see if I can find that thread again

YEAH! GORANG IS RIGHT.
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.BOUGHT A NEW TOP SCREEN ON EBAY AND REPLACED THE SCREEN IT WORKS LIKE NEW. :banana:
