right the best way of describing this is if you were say in a car and had it in the wrong gear it will shake , shudder well this is what my scooter does , only if i pull away slowly thoe it fine when i speed up but say if im in traffic and have to weave throught traffic very slowly it will shudder , shake . any ideas what is making my bike do this ??.

i took it to the bike dealer and they just told me to give it more throttle when going from a start but this isnt pratticle if im going very slowly through traffic .

this happens from a start at a junction or when im driving very slowly thoe.

please help thankyou ..

is the throttle sticking in any way, been a while but does your crab have a diaphragm (bad spelling) if there is leak it would cause problems when opening throttle up.

its not the throttle sticking , ive had the bike from new its just over a year old , .

Have you checked the clutch cable?. It could be sticking and causing your bike to shudder. Failing that it could be your clutch pack. Always try the cheapest option first.

@ttony How many miles has your bike done, and have You left it stood for any length of time over winter. If so You may have a clogged fuel injector. I don't know a lot about them as all My bikes have been carb models, but take a read HERE it describes the symptoms You mentioned, so might need some injector cleaner in the tank.

I would put the bike on some bricks so its off the ground. Open the throttle slowly and see if you still feel the vibration. If so its likely to be mechanical, if not then could be something like bearings/mountings.

The clutch may judder when under load but it might help pinpoint it.

yer wiz569 i think it may be the drivebelt slipping it defiently coming from the back of the bike , its been used every day sneaker done aroung 16000 miles .

Seems to be a common enough complaint but apparently nothing to worry about, providing you can manage to drive it lol

maybe it can be adjusted/tightened a bit?

If it's from the back of the bike, it won't be an injector as I thought, sounds like wiz569 has nailed it. I doubt it is a bearing as I would expect it to shudder all the time, but I'll not rule it out as My front bearings collapsed at 14k on mine, just check for any sideways movement in Your rear wheel.

no i can rule out the beerings as well as i have had that go on another bike so i know what it feels like . i took it to honda garage a while ago about the problem and they didnt seem to want to know about it saying to me they had other bies that done this and just to give it more throttle when pulling away , but you cant do that when your going slow through traffic all the time .

Sounds like the clutch pads have glazed. The heat, and the dust cause it to happen. You can probably clean/roughen them up a bit, and it'll solve the problem for a while. But it will eventually come back again :). New pads will last about as long as the originals.

thanx for the reply wasnotwasD i will be asking the garage this , i will let you know how i get on
