Ok m8, thought I'd post on board rather than via private mail, for 2 reasons, 1) It may be that someone else can offer help as well, 2) If others come up with same problem then the answer could already be viewable to everyone.

So, basically the flash file does not work and your phone is still dead. Well I know the file is ok because I've used a few times myself. What software are you using to flash phone with? Have u had success with other phones? New leads? Do you know start address you flashed to? ie does your software display? er.. probably gonna have more questions but post as much info here as you can and there are loadsa guys here that will help.

Ok well I will answer the PM in public as there is nothing to hide and it may help others who read. Also if I'm not around there are loads of helpful guys here who will help.

So you are using Darkflasher software and you believe flash address was 00200000. Well I would say this is your problem. The eeprom has been loaded at an incorrect address as it should be 00280000.

Best thing to try first is to connect phone. Make sure battery is charged and phone off without simcard. Start Darkflasher then click on 'method' in the top left and click on automatic. Then click on phone model and v5.28, then make sure dots are marked next to '868' and 'intel 16' and then you can click on 'flash' and follow simple instructions.

That should be it! If not then you need to try exactly the same as above but with the flash file I e-mailed you. If that dont work.. bugger. Post and let us know and we'll solve.

it is stil dead it says phone not respond tx=0
i put my chager on but there is no battrey sine on to say in is chagin

I have a nokia nk702 with the same problem. It will not even power up soas to reload the back up file is there any way of powering up other than the on off button

Well this message 'Tx=0' can be caused by many things, it just means there is no responce received after the software requests. If you have flashed at an incorrect address then this means that you have maybe wiped some kind of micro-code fuse setting which is stopping you from re-programming the back-up etc. Technical stuff now, I dont have easy answer.

have had several phones go dead while unlocking where i live we have a nokia service center where i have taken phone and said the electricity went off and on several times over night while phone was on charge and they just reloaded software phone as good as ever free of charge

"Tx=0" or "Rx=0" errors are normally caused by a bad cable connection,(Tx = transmit to phone, 0 means no signal could be transmitted, Rx = no signal received from phone), check integrity of all cables connected,on the 8210 just because it powers up doesnt mean the cable is connected to the other pins properly, have had this problem with a lot of 8210's,annoying though it is you have just got to grin and bear it!!! regards Billy

A 'Dead' phone can be caused by programming the incorrect flash file to the wrong address EG 00200000 instead of 00290000 start.

The MCU and PPM software must be reprogrammed to the phone in order to correct this problem, done with a difficult to come by piece of hardware and software (Dejan flasher 1.05) I have been after this for a while as it can ressurect phones as well as up\downgrade SW versions...I have heard that Jethro is also writing a GUI shell for the Dejan soft for it so I'm having to be patient too

what you need is a is a backup file of the same software version, then flash it with the CORRECT address, tell me the version and i will look tomorrow(has i am going to work )
