Can someone tell me the hash code to display my own phone number on my mobile?

It's currently locked to Orange mate.

I would if i could mate, it's a brand new phone and sim, I can't make any calls until I add credit and I can't add credit until I register it, I've got no intention of registering it with Orange as I've already unlocked it onto O2, I was just wanting to know the number so that I could phone it and hear the thing ring :)

If you register it they'll but a quid on it - you could use that to call yourself?

surely on a new phone and a new sim you'll have your number with it? Either on the box the phone and sim came in, or if a separate sim, on the card the sim pokes out of.

Don't understand why anyone would have new phone/sim and not be aware of the number? Unless you know of somewhere you get hold of new phones that I don't know about

Well, you'd think that wouldn't you.

I've never bought a phone where i needed to register it before being given my number, the SIM card only has a serial number on it, the sim card holder has the same serial number, the packaging only has Model, IMEI, MSN and DJ numbers, the paperwork inside the box was a simple motorola manual and a generic 'welcome to Orange' leaflet, absolutely NO mention of any phone number.

@herbs..

Yes mate, but I've got no intentions of given Orange my details, I get enough spam as it is, also their online registration page isn't working.

Navigate your way to sim contacts from menu, then My Number/Numbers should be in there.

You have to register with Orange to get the SIM activated. You won't get spam off them. I've been with them for years and never get any.

It's ok mate, I've binned the sim. :)

if you press and hold 1 it will dial your voicemail, hang up before connection and look in your calls list. remove the +44 and replace with 0 and you will have your number.

If you dont have a Sim card in it you wont have a number?

You will need to get it unlocked and look at the number on your o2 sim card, its on the holder thing its in.

And if its a sont ericsson, while on the main wallpaper screen press the side volume key down and it says my number under the phone status.

Was gunna say. you cant recieve calls. Which you was trying to do. until youve registered it lawl
