guys i need a program or way to do this, im trying to upload mp3's to a site and there failing because the files are copyrighted, anyway around this free of course, lol ;)

any nice easy to use programs mate to do such a thing, preferably by batch if possible!

where are the mp3 from as copywriting mp3s is not that common ?

i just downloaded the top 40 uk mate from matrix, and the site i tried to upload them too, zedge, said they were copyrighted files, i changed the filename, and also had cropped the beginning and end to make a ringtone!

check the id3 tags for the file i bet its reading them and checking a database

iv right clicked on mp3 and checked details, then removed properties and information, where do i find the id3 tags within the file!

you can use media player or winamp to modify the id3 tags of one track first to try it
before downloading tools

too late i tried it, lol, well it seems to have removed all the info from the mp3 but it still recognises it as copyrighted!

if you play track with media player them right click and go to propertise in player it will tell you if its copyrighted have you tried converting it yet

this file is not protected it says in properties from within media player, yes tried converting to wav and back to mp3 yet it still detects it as being copyrighted!

you could also try ajusting the speed of the audio a little as i know you tube uses this form of detection for video uploads to match it to an audio database, might throw it off

Maybe it knows what to look for, in the database maybe it looks for file size and track length? As I'm sure the versions you have would have been shared all around the internet hundreds and thousands of times? Do audio files have hash tags?
