Hi all,
is there anyone of you that use Sharepoint Service? Suddenly I'm not able to use Lists as Excel view in my Sharepoint...

Thank you

We just use one drive (i thought that was share point?) for calibration of files...

You might need to wait for a Share Point expert.

Ciao Mick,
thank you for your prompt answer.
One Drive is a "smart" sharing storage, while Share Point is a whole technology for sharing documents with also automatic tasks on them.

Thank you, kind regards

We only have a small office, but sometimes we are working on the same visio file and we find that one drive is good...

What advantages does share point have ?

With sharepoint can you see the changes others are making at the same time, with one drive we can all work on the visio file, it will actually show you where the person is working but it will not update it with the saves until the other person has closed it and saved, and you have re-opened it.

But you can see the items the person is working on so you know to leave that area alone :)

Cheers
Mick

Ciao,
we have a small office as well (less than 10 people). We mainly use Sharepoint to have an online database of issues, let say a list o issue. In my opinon the advantages in using Sharepoint are: All infos are web server based, not simple cloud storage. The access policies can be at highest levels. The Sharepont server can send emails to proper people when triggered by some event. The editing of files is more reliable than simple cloud.
This is my opinon.
Moreover we have it for free since is was included in our MS Small Business Server.
Kind regards.

A good thing about a SharePoint site is the collaboration, especially if you are using excel or multiple files.
Multiple people can work with the same document at once, with versioning, so you know who ferked it.
