Microsoft OS Download link via MS Site

Hi,

This may have been posted before as it's fairly well known now but for anyone who hasn't come across this...

Microsoft decided to remove their ISO links to Windows 7 from their website a while back, I believe the digital river links are now down as well, however, use the below and you can still download them:

Goto: Download Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File)

This is the official download page to get Windows 10 trials.In the drop down box, you'll see options to download windows 10 only.
In chrome, right click and select inspect and then go to console
Paste the below code


Then press enter

You should now see links for all versions of Win 7 apart from Enterprise and Windows 8.1

do only vip get to view the code but its not in the vip section hows that?

just use windows media creation tool?

but what if you want a wanted a windows 7 doesnt that only make a windows 10. i didnt see a windows 7 option when i used it

just use Windows ISO downloader for all versions 7 8.1 10 etc

You can also use Rufus to download Windows 10, pls check this tutorial: How to Download Windows 10 ISO Image Free without Tool

I might be wrong so I will ask. Does Rufus not download a slightly different iso file than the windows download tool. If for example you wish to make a version of windows that boots up windows from a usb for example. The iso you download with the download tool wont work as I remember. Like I say I might be wrong but when I needed to make a Self booting windows on a usb I found that you couldn't use the same iso as if I was installing it to a portable hard drive. (Windows 10)

Actually not. The ISO file downloaded from Rufus is fetched from Microsoft remote server. The reason why I prefer Rufus is that the download speed is faster than Media Creation Tool at least for me. And there is no error during the whole process. I failed two times when using Media Creation Tool.

Plus, Rufus can burn the ISO to USB to make a bootable Windows installation USB. I tried on 2 USBs and both worked fine.

I despise the downloader. It causes more issues than not, given the wide degree of GPOs that either [are or are not] present, thus the downloader affects each machine differently, and when errors exist, only complicate the whole reason why you required an ISO anyways.

Easiest way to do this [and is how I've written this article] is via Chrome -> Emulate your device as an IOS device.

The 'how-to' ::

1. Open Chrome
2. Maximize the window (because if you haven't already used or undocked the DevTools function, it's going to apply ityself within your browsing window & take 50% of the screen)
3. Go to the ISO Download Page : HERE
4. Hold CTRL + SHIFT and then PRESS i <-- Thats an i as in igloo
   1. A DevTools window will appear (you can let go of the CTRL & SHIFT keys now). In the top left-hand portion of the DevTools window, there are two icons. Click the icon circled in red, as shown below.
      
      
   2. You will notice that a new toolbar appears at the top of the page. Click the drop-down arrow circled in red, as shown below.
      
      
      
   3. Choose iPad. The web-page may scale down considerably. If it does, just click the % scaler (it probably reads 25% if you encounter this nuance) next to the page sizing that appears when you select iPad (768 x 1024). Select 100%. Now you should be able to read the page again.
      
      
      
   4. Refresh the page (or you can press F5).
      
      
   5. Now you'll notice that the options have changed... for the better! Choose your edition, bit, and then download. Simple as that.
